PSA: The Industry Standard

PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator), for better or worse, is the most widely recognized grading service in the hobby. Their slab is iconic, and their population reports are the gold standard for value reference.

SGC: The Vintage Favorite

SGC is known for its clean, vintage-friendly design and is often preferred for pre-1980 cards. Their grading is considered strict but consistent. I love it for modern as well.

BGS: The Precision Choice

Beckett Grading Services (BGS) uses a 10-point scale with sub-grades, giving collectors detailed insight into centering, corners, edges, and surface quality.
