Hobby vs Delight vs Mega for 2026 Bowman Chrome street week

Street dates and box counts can move. Read the current Beckett or Topps sheet before you buy a box. This post is how to tell the three formats apart. It is not a buy guide.
Beckett still lists September 9, 2026 as the street date for 2026 Bowman Chrome, subject to change.
Last week we split Chrome Prospect Autographs by parallel. This week the mix-up is the box itself. Hobby, Delight, and Mega sit next to each other in feeds and in shop emails. Same product name. Three different builds.
Here is how to read them from the published box sheet.
The shared product
All three formats pull from the same 2026 Bowman Chrome world:
- 100-card base set of rookies and veterans
- 100-card Chrome Prospects list (BCP codes), where many 1st Bowman cards live
- Autograph programs such as Chrome Prospect Autographs (CPA) and Chrome Rookie Autographs (CRA)
The set is the same. The pack count, the auto framing, and the exclusive parallels are not.
Hobby box
Beckett lists:
- 10 cards per pack
- 6 packs per box
- 12 boxes per case
- 2 autographs per hobby box
That is the standard long-form rip. Sixty cards. Two autos on the published framing.
Hobby also carries Hobby-only parallel families on the published sheets. On Chrome Prospects, Beckett and Checklist Insider mark treatments such as Pulsar, Wave, and Shimmer as Hobby exclusive. On Chrome Prospect Autographs, Hobby-only lines include some Reptilian colors and Gold Mini-Diamond Refractors.
If the listing says Hobby and the card is a Geometric parallel, pause. Geometric is a Delight family on the current sheet.
Delight box (Breaker Delight)
Beckett lists:
- 10 cards per pack
- 1 pack per box
- Case count TBA
- 3 autographs per Delight box
Ten cards. Three autos on the published framing. That is a short box with a dense auto count.
Delight is also the home of Geometric exclusives on the current Beckett and Checklist Insider sheets. Base and Chrome Prospects each have a Geometric ladder. CPA has Delight-only lines such as Green Lava Refractor, Gold Shimmer Refractor, Orange Wave Refractor, and Red Wave Refractor.
If you open a one-pack box and pull three autos, you are in Delight territory. If the parallel name says Geometric, match it to Delight before you trust a Hobby title.
Mega box
Beckett has a separate Mega article. It lists the Mega street date as September 23, 2026, subject to change. That is later than the September 9 Hobby and Delight date on the main Chrome page.
Beckett lists:
- 6 cards per pack
- 6 packs per box
- 20 boxes per case
- 36 cards total
Topps, via Beckett, says those 36 cards split evenly between Chrome base, Chrome Prospects, and Mojo-exclusive base cards. Mega is the Mojo format. Checklist Insider also calls out Mega Mojo exclusives.
Do not assume Mega shares the Hobby or Delight street day. Check the Mega sheet. Do not assume Mega carries the same auto framing as Hobby (2) or Delight (3). Read the Mega page for that product.
A 30-second check at the counter
- Count the packs. Six packs of 10 is Hobby. One pack of 10 is Delight. Six packs of 6 is Mega.
- Read the published auto line. Hobby frames 2. Delight frames 3. Mega needs its own sheet.
- Match exclusive parallel names. Geometric points to Delight on the current sheet. Pulsar, Wave, and Shimmer often point to Hobby. Mojo points to Mega.
- Check the street date on the exact format. Hobby and Delight are listed for September 9. Mega is listed for September 23 on Beckett's Mega page. Both dates are subject to change.
What this post is not
This post does not tell you which box to buy. It does not invent odds beyond the published auto counts. It does not replace last week's CPA parallel guide.
If you already know how to split base CPA, Mini Diamond, and numbered refractors, use this sheet to split the box format next. Same product week. Different label on the cardboard.
